I'll be there at least one day as Captain Aizen. I can't give you any advice there, I bought everything for my costume.

Well, I did have plans to be Shuuhei Hisagi, but I may just be a random Shinigami who stole Tousen's captain's haori. xD

Might go as Unohana Retsu... If I can fix my coat in time, that is. It's taken quite a beating these past... three years, I think? ^_^"

Tips and Tricks:
~Cheapest way to get the costume is to make it yourself.
~Cheapest way to make the costume is to find a free kimono and hakama pattern online and buy black and white sheets to use as fabric- I did this and it's all still holding up well, though the number on the coat needs fixed. (Sheets are 4 to 8 bucks depending on how big of a sheet you need. I bought five twin sheets- two for the coat, one for each kimono, and one for the obi- and one full sheet. With today's prices, you can get all that at Walmart for 28 bucks, but I only spent 22 at the time).
~I'd suggest buying the shoes unless you have a lot of time to dedicate to weaving them from hemp. The hemp ones are softer, but the laces on them don't last as long. (can't buy them from hemp- you'd have to hand-weave) I estimate that I spent about 4 or 5 hours on each sandal... They wear out pretty easily, though.
~WEAR ACTUAL HAKAMA! Any loose pants without pleats just won't look right.
